Vape culture gaining new ground at Losangexpo

The biggest tobacco vendor business fair in France, Losangexpo, was held on October 20th and 21st this year in Paris. A huge population of professionals in the sector made the trip to discuss and share their expert knowledge. For this 28th edition, the word on everyone’s lips was none other than “vape”.

Could it be that the opposition to vaping, pitting tobacco vendors against vape shops, has come to an end? The space given to vaping culture and products during this tobacco vendor event proves that certain barriers have fallen. The Paris Expo hall at Porte de Versailles saw a large number of stands set up dedicated exclusively to electronic cigarettes.

With over 8,000 visiteurs over two days, the tobacco vendor expo could not avoid the hot topic of vaping. Alternatives to smoking are now a major public health topic with high stakes. Tobacco vendors now more than ever have it in their best interest to offer these popular products to customers.

A hot topic for cigarette vendors

For those working in tobacco product sales, the time has come to diversify. With this in mind, many e-cig and e-liquid specialised brands attended the expo to present their products. The transformation of the sector was the central theme of this new edition. Electronic cigarettes are increasingly taking over tobacco market shares.

To avoid being left in the cold, Big Tobacco also presented their alternatives to traditional cigarettes. The appearance of vaping products, however, took the spotlight this year. Training cigarette vendors to sell vaping products has become essential for professionals.

The divide between tobacco shops and vape shops could soon disappear.  This war is counter-productive for consumers. Smokers need access to better information regarding alternatives to tobacco. For this 28th edition, the Losangexpo fair made great strides in this direction.
