MAYAVAPE, a major player in the B2B vaping community in France, is changing its name to MONAVAPE. But not to worry: while MONAVAPE might have a new name, a new universe of products, and a new website, it still has over 9,000 references for vaping professionals throughout Europe.
Founded in 2016 by Jean-Philippe Planchon, the company formerly known as MAYAVAPE has played a major role in Europe’s vaping industry ever since. Today, MAYAVAPE has become MONAVAPE, a necessary name change to both protect its commercial brand as well as to maintain continuous and sustainable growth in Europe.
Commitment to service and customer satisfaction are the driving forces behind MONAVAPE’s new vision and direction. The choice makes sense considering the company’s stellar track record, which offers a massive selection of electronic cigarettes and some of the best and most reliable e-liquids on the market.
MONAVAPE works directly with manufacturers to offers its professional clients the most authentic products and best prices. Jean-Philippe Planchon’s teams, which are multilingual and always passionate, have also been reinforced to meet the needs of a constantly evolving market.

Interview with Jean-Philippe Planchon, founder and director of MONAVAPE
Blog-Vape: What is the reason for the name change?
Jean-Philippe Planchon: On April 10, 2019, MAYAVAPE became MONAVAPE. We have adopted a totally new identity that better reflects the image we want to represent. The name change was necessary to protect our commercial brand as well as to make sure we have sustainable growth in Europe. Most importantly, the name change reflects a global evolution of the company so that we can better meet the needs and expectations of our clients.
Are you not afraid of disappointing your clients with this name change?
Not at all! In fact, we feel the opposite way. Name changes are common and are often synonymous with a company’s evolution. I have already been a part of similar professional transformations, and these transitions have always energized the team and the company as a whole because they have always been customer-focused.
At the beginning of the year, the private chauffer service VTC Chauffeur Privé became Kapten. This allowed the company to improve their image and to better communicate what they can offer—and this is when I became their client! Our new name makes sense for us, because while Kapten is mostly aimed at private individuals, MONAVAPE is designed exclusively for professionals.
Of course, it is important to keep clients informed and to stick with them, regardless of the name change. We made an effort to properly inform all of our clients well before the official transition so that we could properly respond to any and all questions and concerns. For example, the online usernames used to access pricing and order information will remain the same for all professional accounts.
Are your clients still electronic cigarette professionals? Is this going to change with the name change?
We have always been, are, and will remain a company devoted to serving vaping professionals. We have spent a lot of time building a relationship with our clients in the B-to-B sector, and this will remain our top priority.
Which values do you hope to convey to your clients with this new and improved company vision?
Our values remain the same. We believe in hard work done well and have always been known for the quality of our services. We also guarantee the authenticity of all of our products, and offer a wide range of the most reliable brands on the market and we work directly with manufacturers. Most notably, we are the official distributors of Vaporesso, AlfaLiquid, Innokin, V’APE, …We are always interested in hearing out our clients and considering their opinions, which is part of the reason for the name change.
The name change also comes with a new version of your website, which is well-known to the industry’s professionals. What are the website’s biggest changes?
In addition to an aesthetic change, the user experience has been improved, as well as the payment search bar. The website is also easier to use and is more ergonomic. Clients still have access to our inventory in real time, and orders are guaranteed for same-day delivery until 3pm. We have also upgraded our backoffice, which although not directly visible to our clients has allowed us to greatly improve our range of services.
