[TEST] iStick Melo 4, vaping that lasts
Vape product manufacturers are always looking to improve their designs, and the new iStick Melo 4 kit is a fine example of the next generation of cheap and reliable e-cigarette devices for who con’t want the complication of rebuildable decks.
Eleaf’s Melo 4 kit is made up of the iStick Melo box and Melo 4 clearomiser with a slider type filling method. This device is compatible with EC2 type coils. Two are provided in the kit: a 0.3 ohm and a 0.5 ohm. With these kinds of coils, you can expect some dense vapour clouds! Eleaf designed the Melo 4 with direct to lung vaping in mind, with large airflow vents.
A well-designed combo
High power means high consumption of energy. This won’t be a problem for the iStick Melo 4 kit as the box includes a 4400 mAh battery. This means extensive autonomy considering the size of the box. The kit delivers up to 60 watts. Variable wattage buttons are easily accessible, situated on the top of the box alongside the display screen. While a minor inconvenience, our reviewer noted the firing button can be a little stiff.
Firmware on the iStick Melo features various modes: wattage, temperature control (Ni, Ti, SS), and TCR for more advanced users.
Designed for beginners, the iStick Melo kit remains a piece of serious hardware that even seasoned vapers can appreciate. At a price point of 55 Euros, this kit is ideal for vaping without having to worry about leaks or coil-building.
